Brookhaven clears 320 apartments at Ashford Green

A 14-acre Perimeter Center office campus can trade unbuilt office entitlements for housing and restaurants.

Brookhaven City Council voted 3-0 on August 25 to let Ashford Green Ventures redevelop part of the office campus at 4170 Ashford Dunwoody Road with 320 apartments. The plan reserves 10 percent of the homes as workforce housing and adds three restaurant buildings totaling 16,000 square feet around a public event lawn.

It replaces a 2015 entitlement for a 300-unit high-rise and up to 500,000 square feet of additional offices that were never built.

Why it matters

The approval turns unused office growth rights in Perimeter Center into housing, including a workforce set-aside.
